Under The Big Bright Yellow Sun (UTBBYS) is an instrumental post-rock band which was created since 13th of August, 2007 in Bandung, Indonesia.

Under The Big Bright Yellow Sun (UTBBYS) first album "Painting Of Life" released 2012, and then a second album "Quintessential Turmoil" released 2014. The latest album "Brightlight" released 2018. We have also joined several times in the compilation album project which was released by several record labels, one of which is A Thousand Arms

On our journey, The members come and out for one and another reason. Today the personal of UTBBYS are Yadi Musholih (treble guitar bow & noisy sound), Cheef Ranyay (low guitar & experiments bell), Ezza Rush (middle guitar & harmony sounds), Freudian Yuren (Bass), and Harry Pangabdian M Y (Drum). The name of band itself was taken from our life philosophy which beautiful and a lot of story and always inspiring to make such a beautiful sounds of music in UNDER THE BIG BRIGHT YELLOW SUN (UTBBYS).

Under The Big Bright Yellow Sun's music is a reflection of their daily life. Happy, sad, grateful, desperate, depressed, anger, that’s all reflected from their music arrangement. UTBBYS don’t want to be glued with the post-rock pattern that’s identically with gloomy and monotonous. They do some experiment and sound’s exploration many times. Bow’s application, sound’s exploration with various guitar effect, the use of ambient sound and also experimentall bell have become the character of UTBBYS.
